Founder. Mr. Villarina is the founder of Industry Capital and its Managing Partner in 2003. In 1999, he co-founded Industry Ventures, a $7 billion venture capital firm specializing in the secondary market and served as GP from 1999 to 2003.
Prior to that, he was a private and public equity portfolio manager at Eos Partners and Cassandra-Chase Partners in New York City from 1995 to 1999.
Mr. Villarina holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia University.

As a Partner of Industry Capital, Mr. Wertheimer oversees operating partnerships and advises on strategic decisions across all platforms.
Previously, he was a successful entrepreneur with several well-known ventures in media and entertainment, consumer products and financial services. From 1999 to 2002, he was an executive with Size Technologies, an electronic payments pioneer acquired by First Data Corporation in 2006. From 1995 to 1999, he was a Principal in Mark Burnett Productions, where he played a critical role in the development and sale of the successful reality TV franchises “Survivor” and “Eco-Challenge”. Previous to that Mr. Wertheimer served as Director of Business Development for early interactive television mover, Interactive Network.
Mr. Wertheimer holds an AB from Princeton University and JD from the UCLA School of Law.

Mr. Wu is the CFOR and COO of Industry Capital and as been with the firm since 2007 where he has several critical roles in addition to his role overseeing the financials of all our platforms. He has also built out our hospitality platform Proof Positive where he is the managing partner of all of its operating assets located in California with notable brands Westwood and Thriller.
Prior to joining the firm, he held various accounting roles at the Siegfried Group, the Oracle Corporation, and KPMG.
Mr. Wu holds a BA and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Robertson works in Industry Capital’s Houston office working with our energy platforms in the US and West Africa focused on deal origination. Mr. Robertson serves as a Director of Industry Capital’s portfolio company, VGas LLC.
Prior to joining Industry Capital, Mr. Robertson was a Senior Managing Director at the Houston-based family office, Robertson Wealth Management in their private equity division focused on energy. Prior to that, he was a senior officer of the IBERIABANK Corporation covering financial sponsors.
Mr. Robertson holds a BBA from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Liu is a member of Industry Capital’s Beijing office working with our energy platforms in the Middle East and West Africa focused on deal origination. He serves as an Assistant to our Partner, Mr. Cui, and as an Associate on our investment team. Prior to joining Industry Capital, Mr. Liu developed his expertise at CITIC Securities, where he served major Chinese energy State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the securities market. His knowledge of the energy sector in China positions him as a valuable asset to the team. Mr. Liu holds a B.A. from Cornell University and is a CFA Level II candidate.

Mr. Morjaria serves as an investment partner and comes to Industry Capital with 30 years experience gained in the emerging markets private equity arena.
Mr. Morjaria has held several key positions in deal-making, portfolio and fund management, capital raising/fund closings, member of investment committees and helping build asset management platforms in leading global investment firms based in UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Mr Morjaria commenced his career with the UK’s BII Group (prev. CDC) which spun out Aureos Capital, and where Mr Morjaria was a founding partner. Over a decade, Mr. Morjaria helped to grow Aureos into a leading mid-cap emerging markets fund manager, spanning multiple funds and geographies.
Mr. Morjaria has operated across growth markets of LatAM, Africa and Asia, with in-country roles in sub-Saharan Africa, China and the Middle East.
Mr. Morjaria holds a BA (with Honors) in Economics from University of Essex and is a CFA Charterholder.

Mr. Cui serves as a partner focused on private equity and trade financing in emerging markets across the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions. Before joining Industry Capital as a partner based in Asia, Mr. Cui served as the founder of Bridgeline Group Ltd., which focused on corporate investments in renewable energy developments. His company was later acquired by Industry Capital in 2024.
Mr. Cui holds a master’s degree from Imperial College London.
